Tennessee William's wrenching story captures the loss of innocence and gentility of a time gone by. Set in the beauty and heat of the Deep South, the delicate rectory and the masculine doctor's office are wagoned on and off stage, always divided by the beautiful brick work of the park. The ominus and beautiful angel fountain is everpresent as it is on a wagon that moves in and out of the action, wittnessing the lives of the townspeople of Glorious Hill. The live oaks, Spanish moss, and vast sky support the elegant poetry in Williams' words.
